The CTECS Student Workforce is a program designed to give students practical, hands-on experience and real-world application of learned theoretical skills. It consists of two programs, Work-Based Learning and Production. Student Workforce experiences provide students a competitive advantage in their chosen industry.
Work-Based Learning (WBL) allows students to work for an employer during their trade instructional time. Students not only receive credit toward their career technology, but also get paid. WBL is offered at all schools in the CTECS district.
Production is a business run by students and faculty at CTECS. We offer services at each of our school sites, and we have the unique ability to complete construction jobs off campus on both residential homes and commercial properties.

Providing students with real projects for real customers here in Connecticut, and delivering high-quality products to them. We offer a range of services at each our school locations.
